MENTORS
PETRI KATAJARINNE
Petri Katajarinne works as a cultural production specialist at the Human University of Applied Sciences. He has previously worked as a festival producer and organized numerous events. He has also taught event production at various educational institutions. He is currently involved in the South Karelia Event Cluster project, where she organizes training and networking events for event producers in South Karelia.
JUHA-PEKKA NATUNEN
Juha-Pekka Natunen is a business professional in culture, arts, events, and creative industries. He has worked as an entrepreneur and in various expert and management positions since 2005. Natunen has experience in producing and managing over 250 events. The content of the events has varied between music, theatre, dance, sports, gaming, education, and various seminars. He also specializes in public funding and the management and administration of projects funded through it. Natunen also has significant experience in product development, marketing, and sales.
TEACHERS
JOHANNA RAJAMÄKI
Arts Management and Events Industry professional with over 20 years of work experience in the arts and cultural sector in an international environment. Specialised in festival production, artist management, tour booking, and artists' hospitality. Johanna has worked in both the independent scene and publicly funded organisations, as well as the private sector and non-profit sector.
SARA IBRAHIM
My name is Sara Ibrahim, and I bring over 17 years of international experience in event and project management. I have managed and delivered conferences, congresses, CME meetings, corporate meetings, festivals, and large-scale events across Egypt, Dubai, Amman, Istanbul, Paris, Budapest, and other cities in the Middle East and Europe. In many of these roles, I worked as both Project Manager and Event Manager, overseeing strategy, logistics, and execution for events ranging from small professional gatherings to international conferences with thousands of participants. Alongside my professional work, I have also been a guest lecturer in event management at the Faculty of Tourism, Farous University in Alexandria, my home city, where I shared insights from my career with university students. Two years ago, I moved to Lappeenranta, Finland, as my husband took a new position at LAB and LUT Universities. Since then, I have been working to enter the Finnish market, with the goal of bringing my international expertise into the development of meaningful, sustainable, and responsible events here in Finland and across Europe.
