Women 40+ are powering up the festival world!
The FestiSkills Hunters project is designed for women aged 40+ from rural and remote areas in Estonia and Finland, giving participants the skills and support they need to enter the world of festival and event management.

Since launching in May 2025, the project has brought together 48 women from the Lake Peipsi region and Imatra, delivered all 8 training modules covering everything from sustainability to crisis management, and given participants hands‑on experience at the Saimaa Film Festival in Finland.

What makes this project special is how practical and empowering it is. Participants aren’t just learning, they’re designing their own events, receiving mentoring, and building confidence to take real steps toward new career paths. With mentoring underway and pilot projects in motion, the programme is well on track to strengthen the competitiveness of women on the labour market.

✨ This is what happens when experience meets opportunity — new skills, new confidence, and new beginnings. Learn more about the project: centralbaltic.eu/project/festiskills-hunters/

The project is a cross-border cooperation between Estonia and Finland. Peipsi Koostöö Keskus / Peipsi Center for Transboundary Cooperation and The Black & White Theatre / Black & White Theatre Festival.

Over the past two days, our team gathered at the Joint Secretariat’s office in Turku, a wonderful chance to reconnect, collaborate and look ahead together. ✨

We were especially happy to welcome our newest colleagues, Miranda and Frida, to the Joint Secretariat team. 🤝🌟

The days were filled with joint work sessions, analysis, and open discussions about our programme’s present and future - its workload, challenges, and successes. Productive, inspiring, and energising!

It was a truly great time spent together. 💙
